“ 5 star food, service and ambiance. When I finished, I thought to myself, I just had a perfect meal. I recommend the chicken tagine where the meat melted off the bone. The tastes aren't so strong that a person unfamiliar with Moroccan cuisine would regret trying it. Friendly and timely service. Lovely experience. ”
“ We made a reservation as a group of 8 for Friday evening. It was nice to be seated immediately, but our group was split across two circular tables and we couldnt chat with each other at all. Id definitely recommend smaller groups for a place like this if you want to chat together. The decor was gorgeous - it was colorful and fun and definitely set the tone for the evening. The menu was simple - you were able to pick a few things but they made it very easy and everything came out family style (so be aware if you hve picky eaters or those with allergies). There are set times for belly-dancing, so make sure to plan to meal around the shows. We had a great time and appreciated the sweet dancer who made sure to visit every table and bring high energy the entire time. There wasn't really encouragement to get up and dance along, but she did let a few people hold the tamborine. The food itself was good - I think I've had better Moroccan food (but that was West Coast living - no where close to us here). The experience completely makes the dinner and helps really transport you to a different culture for a few hours. My only real gripe is that you have to pay for bottled water (no free tap water) - so of course we drank way more BYOB wine and way less water than we should have. I didnt complain about that part until the next morning though.... ”
“ I'll keep this short& sweet- the service was fast and efficient, the food was very flavorful& came in huge portions, and the ambiance was awesome. Loved how immersed we felt, sad we weren't there on a Friday for the belly dancing! Will definitely be coming back :) don't sleep on this place just because it's in a strip mall! ”
“ I picked this place out for a place to meet up with two friends. I am so happy I did! Food - The pre-fixed menu was absolutely perfect. Everything was delicious! For the mail meal, we ordered the lamb. If you are not used to the taste of lamb, I would suggest the fish (I will try that next time) or chicken. The tea they give after is amazing as well. It is BYOB, so there is a Joe Canals nearby to get alcohol. If you ask for water, they give you bottled water. Service - The service was excellent. The woman that worked there was so kind and so were the waiters. It was lovely. Ambiance - It is great for couples and for groups. We saw both there. There is a lot of seating areas and the decoration is very pretty. Fridays around (7:30) and Saturdays they have belly dancers. We went Friday and the belly dancer was absolutely gorgeous. She tried to get everyone up and dancing or involved with the show, so bring some cash! The only downside was the cleaning supplies smell like diaper/baby products. There was a certain smell in some areas but I could handle it! ”
“ First time having Moroccan food but it won't be my last. I will definitely be back soon. Everything we had was delicious. Friendly staff and super authentic interior decor, you feel like you are in another country while inside. ”
“ A friend surprised me on my birthday by taking me to Marakesh for dinner. The decor is amazing, lots of drapes, shiny golden metal tables, and the couches are super comfortable. We were quickly seated, and were given wine glasses. This spot is BYOB. The menu for dinner had two prix fixe options, both of which included the appetizer buffet. The appetizer table included hummus, salads, baba ganoush, olives, and other dips. They were all pretty good. For my entree, I got the lamb tagine. It was tasty and extremely tender. It was so soft, it practically fell off the bone. The surprise was the belly dancer. She was quite skilled and entertaining to watch. Not sure of many other restaurants in the area with this kind of atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit ”
“ What a fun unique place this is! Wonderful setting inside - you would never know you are dining at a restaurant in a strip mall on 46. Beautifully decorated with darkened lighting & comfortable couches to sit on. We started with the falafel - crispy & excellently prepared. There are so many tasty sounding apps that it's difficult to not just order all apps! Dinner entree's come with a delicious salad - dressed perfectly with a great amount of goodies in it. My entree was the baby lamb tagine & my husband got the mixed grill. Entree's come with rice & pita. The lamb was fork-tender & came right off the bone & my husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal. We ended the meal with baklava & an orange blossom crispy dessert that blew away the baklava. That is the one to order - the orange blossom dessert is so unique & so flavorful. Weekend evenings there is a belly dancer - definitely a place to come back to! ”
